Description
This Certificate in Business in Technical Aircraft Management allows students to gain an education in the Aircraft Leasing Sector. The course which is primarily aimed at Aviation Engineers or holders of a relevant Aviation Degree allows students to gain an insight into the Leasing Sector and add to their expertise. Classes are delivered on a day release and/or an evening basis. The classes are also delivered in two locations, based on student numbers: National College of Ireland, Dublin or Lufthansa Technik in Shannon.
Minimum Requirements
Either
- Current EASA Maintenance License
- A relevant Aeronautical degree
- Evidence of substantial aircraft maintenance experience and recognised previous learning.
Structure/Content of the Course
This programme offers specialist training in:
- Aircraft Acquisition and Finance,
- Registration and Air Legislation,
- Contract Management and Maintenance,
- Technical Record Administration.
As this course is delivered on a part time basis, students have access to all on-line support that IT Carlow offers such as Blackboard or Canvas and a wide range of e-books.
Career Opportunities
Many students are licensed Aviation Engineers so this course would enable them to work in different areas of their current organisation or in Aviation Consulting and Technical Support Services. Students could also gain employment in Aircraft Leasing, specifically in the Legal/Legislation or Technical departments.
