Description
This course is ideal for those interested in having a foundation knowledge of flight and some of the engineering that makes it possible. Ideal for those considering an aviation career, and also those currently engaged in the industry in non-technical roles, particularly in the aircraft leasing sector.
The course is delivered by industry professionals and instructors. As part of the course, students will have the opportunity to visit a live aircraft maintenance facility and experience a simulated flying lesson.
Certificate in Aviation is a Level 6 Special Purpose Award with 10 ECT awarded on successful completion of the programme. Students are required to submit one assignment weekly for each topic covered.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must satisfy a minimum entry requirement of Grade O6 or higher at Ordinary Level in five Leaving Certificate Subjects, or equivalent. Two of these subjects must include Mathematics and a Language (Irish or English).
