About the Course 

Description 

Over the duration of this year long course students will be able to learn and develop many skills that would give them an advantage in pursuing a career in the rapidly growing industry that is Tourism. It offers a certification of QQI Level 5 Tourism with Business and an IAOT Diploma in International Travel Industry Studies. This course also allows students to figure out which sector of the Aviation and Tourism Industry they would be best suited to and enjoy.

• QQI Level 4 graduates and mature applicants

Career Opportunities 

Students who successfully complete this course will receive a QQI Level 5 Award in Tourism with Business (5M5011), an IAOT Diploma in International Travel Industry Studies and can pursue a career in a Travel Agency, as a Tour Guide, a Cabin Crew Member or in Airport Security. This sector is experiencing strong growth and recruiting. 

On successful completion of the course, students will also have the opportunity to progress through the CAO to Higher Education at Level 7 and 8. Courses related to aviation can be found in this Student Handbook and also on the CAO’s website ( www.cao.ie).
