Gary joined IASA in June 2024 as a Students Engagement Officer and with his first-class understanding, expertise and assertiveness, after only three months, he was elected IASA’s Chairperson. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Business (Honours) degree in Aviation Management at the South East Technological University (SETU), Carlow. Gary qualified his Private Pilots License with Atlantic Flight Training Academy, Cork, furthering his ratings in Night Flight and Advanced Upset Prevention Recovery Training (AUPRT). He has recently enrolled on his ATPL course with ASG, Dublin and has since demonstrated an admiring state of control concerning his studies building resilience throughout his training. Gary also works as an Assistant Air Traffic Controller at Ireland West Airport exposing him to an excellent insight into todays commercial aviation industry. In the future, Gary has great ambition to become a commercial airline pilot fulfilling his lifelong dream, however, currently he has tremendous eagerness in contributing to IASA’s mission and bridge the gap between students and the industry.
