The upcoming 2nd Annual IASA Career Expo is rapidly taking shape. The Expo takes place on the 22nd October in Croke Park’ Convention Centre. IASA’s vision is to help Ireland continue to provide the best expertise in the aviation industry by empowering young, aspiring aviation professionals to meet with industry through various events, in order to further their careers. Enabling greater collaboration between students and the industry is a core principle of IASA’s mission and to this end, much support has been garnered from the industry itself through the strong bookings for the Career Expo.

There is a strong presence confirmed so far from various strands of the aviation industry, with almost 30 companies signed up. Ireland’s major international airlines are represented, Aer Lingus and Ryanair will both be in attendance, as well as charter airline ASL Airlines. Also present will be Atlantic Flight Training Academy, Ireland’s largest flight school.

There are a number of professional services firms booked such as Six West Aviation, EY, KPMG as well as PWC. On the engineering side, first-time exhibitor Lufthansa Technik will be joined by the return of Dublin Aerospace.

Ireland’s importance in the aviation leasing sector is underlined with numerous aircraft leasing companies such as SMBC Aviation Capital, Nordic Aviation Capital, as well as DAE’s leasing division. The importance of Ireland within the global aircraft leasing industry ensures that there are more and more graduates from all over the world basing themselves in Dublin to gain access to these companies.

The exhibition opens at 10am for secondary school students, before third level students and graduates are invited from 1 pm until 4. The setting for the event, the iconic Croke Park, is a very convenient location just 15 minutes from O’Connell St. and located on various bus routes. This all-new venue is a fantastic backdrop for what will be an insightful and informative day. The Expo provides access to companies for students in an atmosphere unrivalled in Ireland.
