On Wednesday the 19th of September, IASA held its first ever Career Expo in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry.
The event is the first of its kind in Ireland for aviation related companies to showcase jobs and career opportunities to students and graduates. For our first Career Expo we had 35 stands exhibiting different careers across the aviation sector including ground operations, aircraft leasing, aviation regulation and flight training. The variety of companies with a mixture of career choices gave attendees on the day a great insight to the scope of opportunities within the aviation industry.
We had over 500 attendees on the day from various educational backgrounds, including second level and third level students, graduates and experienced industry members looking for different job opportunities.
For those seeking employment or career guidance to enhance their CV, we had a mixture of companies and professionals such as; Conor Keeling, Barden Recruitment, Ryanair, Margie Burns and Propeller Recruitment were on hand to analyse and give feedback on where attendees can improve their CVs and employment success.
Exhibitors were kept busy all day with a constant flow of attendees over the 6-hour expo, even with 25 per cent of attendees passing through the entrance within the first 45 minutes of opening the door.
IASA would like to thank all exhibitors and guests who came along and to the companies and professionals giving the CV clinics. IASA would also like the thank attendees for coming along on the day regardless of the 100-kilometer winds in the morning. It was an extremely successful day in terms of organisation and we hope that attendees and exhibitors were satisfied with the day. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated and used to make these events better as we grow the Career Expo.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at our upcoming events!
